Jil Sander in collaboration with Venini and Formafantasma
For the very first time, VENINI, the legendary name in Murano glass artistry, joins creative forces with Jil Sander, the fashion house known for its refined minimalism. Brought together by a shared appreciation for form, texture, and emotion, this collaboration is shaped under the thoughtful direction of Formafantasma—the design studio celebrated for its sensitive and sustainable approach.

At the heart of this collaboration is Stone, a collection of vases that are both hand-blown and handmade. Each piece is a quiet meditation on contrast: between control and spontaneity, between technique and intuition. These are not perfect objects—and that’s exactly the point.

Presented by Magran Living
There’s a quiet poetry in the way the glass behaves. In the hands of VENINI’s master artisans, the material takes on a life of its own. Shapes bend slightly, surfaces ripple subtly—inviting us to see beauty not in symmetry, but in soul. This collection is a celebration of the unexpected. Of letting go just enough to let something real emerge.

“Glass is a living, unpredictable material that only responds to those who know how to listen to it. It is thanks to the sensitivity and experience of our master glassmakers that we are able to transform uncertainty into art. The collaboration with Jil Sander and Formafantasma stems from a common vision: to believe in the strength of craftsmanship as a contemporary language, and in experimentation as a cultural act. It is a project that speaks of respect for know-how, but also of creative courage”, declare Silvia Damiani, President of VENINI.

The project explores mouldless glassblowing to highlight VENINI’s signature hand-blown glass. Using a reimagined craquelé technique involving cold water, bubbles, and thermal shocks, each vase features unique textures that reflect the experimental process and craftsmanship behind it.

“What we love most about working with craft is that design is allowed to happen in real time, through the process itself. For the series of hand-produced glass vases created for Jil Sander, we didn’t begin with a fixed blueprint – we began with an openness to discovery. Each piece took shape not through rigid planning, but through direct engagement with material, gesture, and the hands of the maker. In this way, form becomes a conversation.,” explain Andrea Trimarchi and Simone Farresin of Formafantasma.

The collection consists of four main shapes – Stone 01, Stone 02, Stone 03 and Stone 04 – each made in a Limited Edition of 9. Each vase is different: in its proportions, in its symmetry, in the tension of the glass. The differences are not mistakes, but artistic intentions.

The collaboration with Jil Sander highlights VENINI’s ability to embrace contemporary design while staying rooted in the timeless craftsmanship of its glassmaking tradition.
