At Milan Design Week 2026—where design, fashion, and industry are celebrated globally—Louis Vuitton asserts its presence with strategic clarity. The unveiling of its Objets Nomades Collection 2026 at the histroric Palazzo Serbelloni reinforces Milan as the stage to articulate how heritage evolves into contemporary design.

The exhibition unfolds as a layered dialogue between past and present. Anchored in the legacy of Pierre Legrain, the scenography revisits Art Deco as an active design language. Archival trunks and rare travel objects—some staged within a 1920s train-inspired setting—form a cinematic prelude, while the Pierre Legrain Homage collection translates his graphic rigor into rugs, textiles, and reissued furnishings.

This historical framework expands through contemporary interventions by designers including Marc Newson, Patrick Jouin, and Cristian Mohaded, alongside more experimental works by Estudio Campana and Raw Edges. Across furniture, lighting, and objects, the collection oscillates between function and collectible design, with meticulous craftsmanship—leatherwork, marquetry, and textile innovation—elevated beyond utility into narrative form.

The exhibition is conceived as an immersive sequence of environments: drawing rooms, dining spaces, and dreamlike installations where color, texture, and form construct a total world. A monumental courtyard installation, developed with Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera, extends this dialogue into the public realm, translating Legrain’s motifs into a participatory, large-scale gesture.

Beyond Palazzo Serbelloni, the narrative continues at the Via Montenapoleone store, where exceptional trunks—among them a stained-glass piece created for Pharrell Williams’ show—reimagine nomadic living through architectural and material innovation.

With Objets Nomades 2026 in Milan, Louis Vuitton showcases an immersive universe where heritage and craftsmanship evolve into contemporary design.
