Nilufar participates in the 14th edition of Nomad Capri, a travelling showcase of contemporary art and collectible design. This year Nilufar’s highlights are dedicated to interdisciplinary dialogue, exploring various styles, techniques, and materials. Set against the picturesque backdrop of Certosa di San Giacomo, the exhibition features a large installation with evocative furniture by Etereo and light art creations by Christian Pellizzari, all centred around themes of nature and organic elements. Nina Yashar, founder of Nilufar, has thoughtfully curated a display that harmonises with the poetic space of the Certosa di San Giacomo.
”I am delighted to present an installation for this edition of Nomad Capri, where the organic elements of nature take centre stage. I wanted to involve international designers with whom I have collaborated multiple times. These designers experiment with different materials but share a profound inspiration from the natural world.” states Nina Yashar.

The Milan-Dubai based architectural and design practice Etereo showcases two collections: the Faraglioni and Carbon Collections. Named after Capri’s famous coastal rock formations, the Faraglioni Collection translates their beauty and majesty into distinctive forms and precious materials, merging art and design in perfect symbiosis. Each piece tells a story of contrasts and harmonies. Sturdy legs of cast bronze, with shapes reminiscent of rocky concretions, support fused glass tops that spread out like liquid waves. This interplay between the rock’s solidity and the glass’s fluidity creates visual dynamism. Unique textures, inspired by sea foam, add depth and movement, evoking the perpetual motion of waves on the shore. The collection includes a center room table, dining table, coffee table, and two consoles, each a unique piece embodying Italian design’s essence.
The Carbon Collection is an ode to the marriage of wilderness essence and contemporary design’s refined elegance. Crafted from solid carbon wood and bronze, each piece is a unique work of art, weaving together past and present in a timeless dance. Charred wood and bronze, born from the fusion of fire and form, capture the primal strength of creation. Inspired by African tribal artifacts, the Carbon Collection transforms the ancient into the contemporary. Tables, benches, and wall consoles stand as monuments to simple yet powerful beauty, inviting one to embrace discreet luxury and purity of form. These pieces are more than furniture; they are invitations to journey through time and space, exploring the soul’s boundaries and discovering eternal beauty.
Italian designer and artist Christian Pellizzari presents three new luminous sculptures, a floor lamp and two appliques, continuing the narrative of Giant Syriacus, drawing inspiration from the world of flora and fauna. Each artwork, crafted from Murano blown-glass, results from Pellizzari’s in-depth study of the material. Glass’s intrinsic sustainability is particularly precious to him, as it is infinitely recyclable. The exhibited pieces embody this circular movement of time and material, reflecting on the climate change phenomenon.
