Torii: The Charm of the Essential
On the occasion of Milan Design Week 2024, Horm is excited to unveil a preview of its latest creation: the cabinet Torii a timeless fusion of aesthetics and functionality.

Torii is a cabinet with integrated lighting, available in the forms and dimensions of a sideboard with two height variants and a vertical credenza. The showcase is a celebration of luxury and versatility that stands out as the focal point of the Friulian brand’s 2024 collection.

Presented by Zipblind
Its design is the result of Renato Zamberlan‘s vision, who embraced the Japandi style, a harmonious fusion of Japanese minimalism and the functional essence of Scandinavian design, a hot trend in recent years that has conquered the interior decoration scene. The Japandi style is not just a question of aesthetics, but a true philosophy that, in addition to being based on the more traditional manufacturers of these two worlds, sees home furnishing as an action devoted to finding the most efficient solutions for those who are to live in it.

Crafted with artisanal mastery, the Canaletto walnut structure distinguishes itself with its natural finish, enhancing the deep veins and essence of the wood. The elegantly integrated bronzed glass doors not only protect but also seamlessly blend into the ensemble, offering a luminous display thanks to the internal LED lighting.
This light, discreet yet meaningful, not only highlights the content of the sideboard but also radiates a warm aura, transforming each displayed object into a collectible piece.

Following the Japandi philosophy, the cornerstones of the project are:
- Functionality is emphasized by internal lighting and numerous dimensional configuration options.
- The pursuit of pure and natural materials such as Canaletto walnut.
- The incorporation of visual elements inspired by Eastern culture, especially in the doors reminiscent of fusuma walls, is typical of Japanese tradition.
With its sober and rigorous lines, Torii transcends its mere function as furniture; it is an invitation to celebrate beauty and order in everyday life. It serves as a reminder that in design, as in life, what is essential escapes the eye: harmony, functionality, and sensory experience.
The materials are Canaletto walnut structure, Canaletto walnut doors, bronzed tempered glass, transparent tempered glass shelves, and featured internal LED lighting with a wireless switch.
