Classicon Presented A Number of Exquisite New Products at Salone Del Mobile.Milano 2024
ClassiCon presented a number of exquisite new products at this year’s Milan furniture fair: the three-part Volkshaus range by Herzog & de Meuron, a new straw marquetry tabletop for the Bell Table by Sebastian Herkner, the Bow Coffee Table series by Guilherme Torres featuring an elegant all-black finish, and the Matéria lowboard by Christian Haas with a black ash wood frame and a tabletop made of Nero Marquina marble.
The new Volkshaus range of furniture by Herzog & de Meuron
Built in 1925 in Kleinbasel, the Volkshaus Basel was modernized by Herzog & de Meuron and now accommodates a bar, a brasserie, event rooms and a new boutique hotel under one roof. The architects designed an elegant interior for the hotel that interprets the spirit of the building and the period in which it was built in a contemporary way. They developed a range of oak furniture, consisting of a lounge chair and stool with seats and backrests made of hard-wearing cord and a matching side table. At the Salone del Mobile.Milano 2024, ClassiCon presented the Volkshaus range in two variants: natural oak with green cord and black-stained oak with black cord. The range is characterised by its complex construction that features intersecting X-shapes of square timber. The press material also includes reference images of the Volkshaus Basel boutique hotel.

New product additions to the Bell Table, Bow Coffee Table and Matéria ranges
For the Salone del Mobile.Milano 2024, ClassiCon also complemented some of its popular furniture ranges with new variants: the Bell Table series by Sebastian Herkner now includes a version with straw marquetry worked into the tabletop. Like rays of sunshine, the individual strips of straw, applied with utmost precision to a carrier plate, radiate out from the centre across the surface; the design is available in three colours.

Bow Coffee Table

Presented by Som Santoso
The Bow Coffee Table, designed by Guilherme Torres, was presented in the new black lacquer version, featuring a tabletop made of black crystal glass. Like a monolith made of solid sheet steel, the design now appears in an all-black, clear and graphic look.
Matéria lowboard
In Milan, ClassiCon also presented the Matéria lowboard range by designer Christian Haas in an exclusive deep black version with a tabletop made of Nero Marquina marble and a frame made of black lacquered ash wood. Impressive and enduring like a sculpture, the new marble design exudes luxurious flair in the room.
