Karimoku Case returns to Salone del Mobile with A Sense of Serenity — a thoughtfully curated exhibition exploring the harmony between texture and light, material and space. Designed by Norm Architects and Keiji Ashizawa, the installation captures the brand’s essence: quiet sophistication, tactile richness, and timeless appeal.

Inspired by serene and architectural settings such as CASE 02.3 Nagoya Sakae Cafe and CASE 11 Logy Taipei, the presentation invites visitors into a tranquil retreat. A dark-toned palette, warm textures, and a custom fireplace feature evoke a sense of calm amidst the dynamic fair setting.

A-ST01 | N-ST03

New pieces debut alongside iconic works, including:
• N-ST03 Side Table by Norm Architects – a sculptural, airy design rooted in Japanese craftsmanship. An innovative addition to the Karimoku Case collection, the N-ST03 is crafted from solid wood with a precisely engineered asymmetrical frame that seamlessly overlaps sofas and coffee tables. Inspired by traditional Japanese architecture, its spaced wooden elements create a light, airy form that allows natural light to pass through, lending the piece an organic dynamism. A recessed handle, subtly integrated into the tabletop, enhances both mobility and versatility across hospitality, work, and residential settings.
• A-ST01 Side Table and A-DC05 Dining Chair by Keiji Ashizawa – refined forms that balance comfort, elegance, and everyday utility. Designed for comfort and versatility, the A-ST01 is ideally scaled for use beside a sofa, bed, or entryway. Its clean lines, thoughtful proportions, and finely crafted materials reflect Karimoku’s dedication to quality. Understated yet sculptural, it brings quiet sophistication to any space. Designed for relaxed dining, the A-DC05 pairs soft upholstery with a wide, embracing backrest, offering a gentle sense of privacy. Its slender, curved solid wood frame brings lightness to the design, creating a dining chair that feels as effortless as it is inviting.

The exhibition layout draws inspiration from previous architectural works such as CASE 04 “Azabu Residence,” CASE 09 “BELLUSTAR TOKYO,” and Karimoku Commons Kyoto. Dark wooden plank flooring complements the furniture, while lighter-toned walls and textured wallpaper reminiscent of plaster or stucco add depth and contrast.

Curated by interior stylist Yumi Nakata, the space adds depth with a curated blend of ceramics and stone, complementing the serene ambiance with tactile nuance.

Through this immersive space, Karimoku Case shares its design philosophy: a celebration of intentional craftsmanship, subtle beauty, and emotional resonance.
