The Solid Wood Furniture Brand Introduces a Refreshed Color Palette

Warm, tactile, and naturally expressive, solid wood furniture continues to shape the atmosphere of contemporary interiors. Ahead of Milano Design Week 2026, Woak introduces a refreshed color palette alongside the Houdini stool designed by Antonio De Marco, while continuing its visual storytelling through the Nomadic Woak photographic project.

Expanding its design language, Woak presents a palette including mint green, yellow, red, green, grey, blue, burgundy, and black. Applied to selected pieces within the collection, the tones interact with the natural character of wood—highlighting its grain and texture while introducing a subtle layer of visual expression that reflects the brand’s ongoing exploration of form and material.

Among the highlights is the Houdini stool by designer Antonio De Marco. Crafted from solid bent ash, the piece is formed by three essential elements—a curved wooden structure, a seat, and a transverse base. Its defining gesture lies in an optical illusion: once the stool is in use, the curved structure disappears from view, creating the impression that the seated figure is suspended in midair. Balancing technical precision with visual lightness, the design echoes the magician’s trick that inspired its name.

Alongside the product preview, Woak continues the Nomadic Woak photographic project conceived by the brand’s art directors /àr-o/ studio and photographed by Luca A. Caizzi. Exploring the inspirations behind the brand’s designs through encounters with designers in their own creative environments, the latest chapters travel to Berlin and Fiorenzuola.

In Berlin, design duo Geckeler Michels present the Signet collection of trays and mirrors, where curved inner frames and balanced geometries create subtle visual depth. The pieces appear in the newly introduced colors, revealing another dimension of the collection’s sculptural presence.

Meanwhile in Fiorenzuola, designer Gio Tirotto offers a glimpse into his studio and home, where the Mies collection of cabinets takes center stage. Inspired by the architectural clarity of Mies van der Rohe, the modular system combines rigorous geometry with the warmth of solid wood, allowing the pieces to move fluidly between domestic and public interiors.

Through color experimentation, new product design, and an ongoing dialogue with designers, Woak continues to refine its approach to contemporary solid wood furniture—balancing craftsmanship, experimentation, and cultural exchange.
