Evoking understated luxury

Once Milano redefines traditional fringes in contemporary textile design, integrating them into collections for the table, bed, and bathroom. Allegra Marchiorello, CEO of Once Milano, was inspired by Brazilian hammocks, whose long fringes convey movement and relaxation. She sought to replicate this effect in her linen collections, using fringes as a refined yet informal decorative element to enhance home spaces. “I wanted to experiment beyond table linens, extending fringes to bed and bath textiles to create stylistic continuity throughout the home,” she explains.

On bedcovers, fringes introduce dynamism and modernity, transforming everyday essentials into statement pieces. In bathrooms, fringed towels blend function with aesthetics, evoking understated luxury.

A key innovation was the introduction of bold colors. While Once Milano’s fringes traditionally reflected natural earth tones, Marchiorello embraced vibrant hues to create striking contrasts, infusing her designs with fresh energy and contemporary appeal.
