At Maison&Objet Paris 2026, Agapecasa presents the re-edition of the Schwob Table, a rare 1959 project by Angelo Mangiarotti and Bruno Morassutti, unveiled within an installation curated with Silvera. The presentation places the table in dialogue with other iconic works by Mangiarotti, revealing the coherence of a design language grounded in structural autonomy, essential geometry, and material intelligence.

Originally designed for the interiors of Villa Schwob—also known as Villa Turque—in La Chaux-de-Fonds, the table was conceived during Mangiarotti and Morassutti’s sensitive reinterpretation of one of Le Corbusier’s most pivotal early works. Built between 1916 and 1917, the villa marks a threshold moment in Le Corbusier’s career, anticipating his later purist rigor through its geometric discipline, use of concrete, and orchestration of light. It was within this historically charged context that the Schwob Table took shape.

Presented by Magran Living
Designed for the villa’s monumental double-height hall, the table introduces a measured horizontal presence that enhances spatial continuity without interrupting the visual axis toward the exterior. Integrated side handles—both functional and structural—translate mechanical logic into a distinctive formal gesture, emblematic of Mangiarotti’s approach to design.

Never produced beyond a handful of original pieces, the Schwob Table has long existed only through archival traces. Agapecasa’s philological re-edition faithfully restores its proportions, materials, and constructive intent. Available in three sizes and crafted in natural stones including Bianco Carrara, Nero Marquina, Verde Alpi, and Emperador Dark, the table returns as a contemporary object rooted in architectural history—an enduring expression of the relationship between object and space.
