Calia Italia will be presented at Salone del Mobile.Milano 2024 and at the new Flagship Store in Molino delle Armi 49, Milan

Founded in Matera in 1965 and deeply bound to its origins, throughout its history Calia Italia has manufactured upholstered design furniture that combines a contemporary look with high levels of comfort and the highest customization in terms of use.

On the occasion of the upcoming Salone del Mobile.Milano 2024, the company’s stand, which is located in Pavilion 3, is defined by a perimeter kerb topped with monograms in relief and vertically adorned by elegant draperies in soft navy blue velvet, will be the stage for the new collections and convey the story of a constantly-evolving manufacturer who is now more than ever focused on “Green” issues.

Among the new products, the collection I Sassi signed by Timothee Studio will be particularly important. Inspired on Matera’s famous limestone Sassi (a soft sedimentary rock shaped by the water over time and eroded by the wind) and connoted by sinuous and organic lines, it is composed by several modular elements conceived to both further conversation and make intimate moments in the home more comfortable. Another absolute novelty, Skyline, is a sofa with a contemporary style distinguished by its compact seat, which is enhanced by the matelassé workmanship.

This year, Calia Italia has decided to step into the world of outdoor décor with two new pieces of furniture. Norman outdoor, designed in collaboration with Daniele Della Porta, is an armchair inspired on its indoor “sister”, Norman, which features a forward-tilted tubular metal structure with a soft cushion as a backrest. Pralin outdoor, on the other hand, is the first modular sofa which can take on various shapes for outdoor living, easy to take apart, dress, and store.

For the 25th anniversary of the iconic armchair Hotel with a Decò style, which is connoted by its wooden base and soft and enveloping lines, in leather or fabric, Calia Italia is launching two new versions, the chaise longue and 3-seater sofa, which will be presented in a preview at Salone del Mobile.Milano. Lastly, the matelassé sofa Liberty for the Mater Familias collection and the model with soft and enveloping lines L’Èclair as a new entry in the Gourmandise collection.

In line with the company’s values, which include a deep respect for the environment and strong focus on the principles of circular economy, Calia Italia has honed a collection of “Eco Safe” upholsteries for an increasingly green offer. During the upcoming Design Week, Calia Italia will be expecting its guests on 18 April for the official opening of its first Flagship Store recently inaugurated in the heart of Milan, in via Molino delle Armi 49. The spectacular retail space develops over three different floors for an overall surface of 400 sqm and hosts a vast and diverse display of all the brand’s bestselling models and new collections.
