At the 2026 edition of the Salone del Mobile.Milano, Paolelli Outdoor steps beyond its established identity to articulate a broader vision of contemporary outdoor living. Known for decades for its handcrafted planters and pots, the family-run company now expands into tables, seating and sculptural furnishings—marking a decisive evolution from specialist producer to fully fledged design brand.

The foundation of this shift remains concrete. At its factory in Tuscia, central Italy, Paolelli has refined the material through sustained research and experimentation, transforming it from a purely structural medium into a tactile, expressive surface. The result is a material language that feels at once architectural and intimate.

Two proprietary formulations support this development. Cementeco, composed of 100 per cent ecological ingredients, reduces weight by approximately two-thirds compared to traditional concrete while preserving durability. Stone Lite combines concrete and mineral binders to produce a richly textured, stone-like surface defined by depth and chromatic variation. Both solutions recalibrate solidity, enabling outdoor furnishings that are robust yet visually light.

In Milan, this material research takes form through three new collections developed with OTTO Studio, Studio Marco Piva and Studio Adolini, which has overseen the brand’s artistic direction since 2018.

OTTO distils tables, stools and planters into pure, rounded geometries. A precise interplay of solids and voids brings concrete to a more human scale, distancing it from austere architectural associations. Hand-applied finishes in mineral tones—sage green, urban concrete and anthracite—enhance surface tactility, allowing the pieces to move fluidly between outdoor and interior contexts.

Fronda, by Studio Marco Piva, introduces a more organic narrative. Inspired by the movement of foliage, the collection features undulating profiles and subtle vegetal imprints pressed into the surface. Fine veining catches the light, creating shifting shadows that animate the material throughout the day. The effect is restrained yet evocative: nature abstracted into disciplined form.

With Jolly, Studio Adolini rethinks the planter as a modular system. Based on essential geometries—a cylinder and an oval—the elements can be stacked and reconfigured to become side tables, storage units or sculptural accents. Function evolves without compromising formal clarity. Colours and interchangeable components invite experimentation, positioning the object as an adaptable presence within changing environments.

The three collections articulate a coherent expansion of Paolelli Outdoor’s design language. Concrete, once perceived as static and imposing, emerges recalibrated—lighter, warmer and responsive. The brand introduces a contemporary outdoor aesthetic grounded in Italian craftsmanship with a new material.
