A leisurely Sunday where French tradition, Indonesian heritage and Nordic craft come together at the table.

What if Sunday brunch could feel like a journey from the coast of Indonesia to the ateliers of France and Scandinavia? At Sugar & Spice, The InterContinental Jakarta Pondok Indah, The Coastal Atelier brings the flavours of land and sea to the table, weaving together French gastronomy, Indonesian heritage and Nordic-inspired craftsmanship into an unhurried afternoon of indulgence, discovery and conviviality.

The Coastal Atelier Brunch
Every Sunday at Sugar & Spice, The InterContinental Jakarta Pondok Indah
Debut: 23 August 2026

This new brunch edition invites guests to slow down, linger a little longer and experience familiar flavours through a more refined lens.

The experience begins with elegant pass-around canapés, including Herbs Escargot baked in fragrant herb butter and Lobster Thermidor finished with Cognac and Gruyère cream. But the highlights extend well beyond the buffet.

At the signature Gueridon Service, the Indonesian classic Mangut is reimagined with delicate cod, velvety coconut curry and aromatic coconut smoke, unveiled tableside beneath a glass cloche. As the smoke rises, the dish becomes a multisensory expression of Indonesian heritage meeting contemporary dining.

Adding a Nordic touch, the Premium Open-Faced Sandwich Tray draws inspiration from Smørrebrød, with three made-to-order creations: Maine Lobster with lobster bisque aioli, Hokkaido Scallop with white truffle remoulade, and Wagyu Beef Tataki with yuzu kosho aioli. Served on artisan breads, each combines premium ingredients with refined condiments and Scandinavian simplicity.

Three refreshing mocktails—Azure Citrus, Tide & Green, and Golden Shore—complete the coastal-inspired experience, offering a bright counterpoint to the richness of the brunch.

The Coastal Atelier is an invitation to linger over good food and good company, where French tradition, Indonesian flavours and Nordic influences meet in a thoughtfully crafted culinary experience.
