Pursue Each Other Over New Porcelain Objects and Meet Up on the Road to Irony

Within a month we shall reach the glorious festive seasons. So what’s new from Fornasetti?

It is the hand that best expresses Fornasetti’s talent: the hand that draws and interprets the imagination’s suggestions, the hand as the archetype of the artist, the hand shaping the details of the craft tradition. The hands are a means of creating, but also a decoration for the objects created, in that they represent one of the motifs Fornasetti has played with from the outset. This decoration first appeared on textiles in the late 1930s and later on trays, umbrella stands, and ashtrays.

Presented by Som Santoso

Barnaba Fornasetti has decided to draw on this vast repertoire of hands and present them to the public holding pencils, wearing rings, catching butterflies, offering appetizers, cradling ladybirds, or expressing mockery with a derisive gesture. All these actions are captured in precious new porcelain pieces laden with irony. Objects made by the expert hands of the Atelier’s artisans.
