A Fusion Of Innovation And Arstistry – Alma

Contardi known for its distinctive design aesthetic and a trusted name in premium lighting design announces its first collaboration with Controvento, the multidisciplinary studio co-founded by Gabriele Chiave. Their partnership debuts with Alma, a new lighting collection set to premiere at Euroluce 2025 during the 63rd Salone del Mobile.Milano.

The Alma collection marks the synergy between Contardi’s technical expertise and Controvento’s visionary creativity.

“This collaboration merges precision and imagination, creating a product that not only illuminates but also tells a story,” says Massimo Brigandì, General Manager of Contardi.

Alma reinterprets two timeless elements—the fabric shade and the blown glass bubble—crafting a floating, contemporary aesthetic. Available in three sculptural glass forms, it offers versatility, from singular installations to striking compositions. Each piece transforms light into a poetic, mesmerizing presence, redefining space with elegance.

“Our goal was to create a dialogue between tradition and innovation by reimagining classic materials,” explains Gabriele Chiave, Co-founder and Creative Director of Controvento. “The result is a light that is both evocative and groundbreaking.”

Blending artistry with cutting-edge technology, Alma integrates LEDs directly into its structure, eliminating visible bulbs and allowing the lampshade to glow seamlessly—an optical illusion that enhances its pure, refined design.
