Fim Umbrellas and Coro Italia return to the Biblioteca Umanistica dell’Incoronata for Milano Design Week 2025, presenting Chiaroscuro, an installation curated by 967arch in collaboration with Etro Home Textile.

A Celebration of Collaboration and Design
This immersive exhibition highlights the synergy between design, craftsmanship, and artistic expression. At its core is Fim’s partnership with Etro Home Textile, marking the 40th anniversary of Etro’s iconic Arnica fabric. Two exclusive umbrellas, draped in Arnica, will frame the Biblioteca’s entrance, with a dedicated display at Etro’s boutique on Via Pontaccio.

Landscape designer Silvia Ghirelli enhances the installation’s natural elements, while architect Marialaura Irvine introduces the new Ambience umbrella collection, which transitions from shade provider to illuminated “lantern” by night.

Coro Italia’s Terraferma Collection & Desina Kitchens
Inside the Sala degli Archi, Coro Italia showcases the Terraferma collection—a refined blend of comfort and innovative metalwork by 967arch. Meanwhile, the adjacent cloister hosts Desina, a new indoor-outdoor kitchen brand featuring custom steel kitchens and barbecues.

Art, Dialogue, and Emerging Voices
The installation integrates contemporary art, curated by Galleria Giovanni Bonelli, creating a dialogue between design and artistic expression. Additionally, journalist Giorgio Tartaro will moderate discussions on outdoor design, engaging Italian architects, designers, and students from Politecnico di Milano and Scuola Politecnica di Design.

A serene finale awaits in the cloister’s intimate courtyard, where a single umbrella, crafted from Etro fabrics, stands as a poetic symbol of the interplay between design and time.
