An Immersive Journey Through Rimadesio’s Evolving Identity at Palazzo Isimbardi
In 2026, Italian design company Rimadesio celebrates its 70th anniversary with BECOMING, a multi-act project that reflects the brand’s evolving identity through design, art, and architecture. Conceived as a year-long narrative, the initiative brings together a series of experiences culminating during Milan Design Week 2026, where the company presents a public exhibition at Palazzo Isimbardi.

At the historic Milanese palazzo, BECOMING unfolds as an immersive exhibition exploring the company’s past, present, and future. The project is conceived by creative agency Juma, long responsible for Rimadesio’s visual identity, transforming the venue into a space for dialogue between design culture, technological innovation, and artistic expression.

In the cloister courtyard, Swiss artists from Encor Studio present a site-specific installation centered on light, sound, and transparency—materials that resonate with Rimadesio’s long-standing exploration of glass. The work invites visitors to reflect on perception and time, presenting glass not merely as a surface but as a living medium shaped by light and memory.

Inside the palazzo, the Sala Affreschi becomes an immersive environment where images, videos, and sound trace the evolution of Rimadesio—from the development of its modular systems to its expanding global presence. The installation provides a visual narrative of the brand’s design language and manufacturing philosophy.

The anniversary also coincides with the continued evolution of the Rimadesio collection, designed by architect Giuseppe Bavuso, who has collaborated with the company for more than three decades. New materials, finishes, and furnishing systems are introduced at the Rimadesio flagship store on Via Visconti di Modrone during the design week, reinforcing the brand’s approach to design as a cohesive architectural system.
Looking ahead, the celebration also highlights the upcoming Rimadesio Campus, a new headquarters designed by ACPV ARCHITECTS (Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel). Currently under construction in Giussano, the campus will transform an existing industrial area into a complex that integrates production, landscape, and cultural spaces—embodying Rimadesio’s vision of a contemporary manufacturing environment.
Through BECOMING, Rimadesio frames its 70-year milestone as a forward-looking exploration of design in constant transformation. An identity that continues to evolve.
