Upon their morning arrival at Jenderal Achmad Yani Airport, the guests were warmly welcomed by Aurelia Jennifer, Deputy Managing Director of Intensso Cipta Artistika (a division of Interni Group), before being taken directly to the company’s main manufacturing site.
World-Class Machinery Meets Craftsmanship
At the industrial complex, the group was greeted by Nico Teguh Prakoso, Founder and Principal of Interni Group, along with Dina Dewijanti S, Senior Advisor. During the introduction, Nico highlighted the company’s continuous investment in state-of-the-art machinery—technology that not only enhances efficiency but also broadens the possibilities of design, all while preserving the soul of craftsmanship. From interiors, loose furniture, cabinets, wardrobes, and doors to metalworks, this balance between innovation and tradition has become the hallmark of Interni’s production.
The private tour began at the material storage area (HMR boards, plywood, engineered wood) where the materials undergo a termite-proof fumigation process that ensures termite resistance. The journey continued through Diorrama Cipta Pratama Workshop (Interni Group division) and Interni Workshop, where the designers observed the wood processing line, sanding stages, and the latest CNC machine capable of carving 3D profiles with extraordinary precision.

The exploration then moved to Intensso Workshop, a display space featuring a range of furniture prototypes—chairs, sofas, beds, credenzas, dining tables, and executive desks. They were also shown two specialized computerized sewing machines for leather and fabric used in furniture and panel applications – all exemplifying Interni’s dedication to versatility and design finesse.
One of the highlights of the tour was Rasa Kayu, a division specializing in exclusive veneer applications. Guests explored an extensive selection of veneers and their intricate applications, including machinery that processes long-profile veneers. Some of the veneers, acquired in limited quantities from international markets, underline Interni’s commitment to rarity and excellence in finishing.
“With the latest cutting-edge machinery, highly professional team coordination, and design precision of up to 99.9%, Interni Group is not just a manufacturing partner, but a true collaborator capable of realizing architectural and interior visions in their entirety. Interni Group has set a new benchmark in how design can be executed to perfection.”
– Mauro Martin T, founder of Mauro Martin Architects
At Pillarindo Workshop, Interni revealed another dimension of its expertise in doors, frames, and architraves—ranging from custom creations in solid wood and engineered wood profiles or metal, to large-scale mass production with uncompromised quality.
After a brief lunch break, the tour continued at Interni Workshop, highlighting the integration of machine precision with artisanal handwork in producing wood panels, built-in cabinets, and detailed skirting.
The journey concluded at Interni Group’s metal division, dedicated to metalworking. Designers observed the creation of door handles, knobs, railings and even artistic metal pieces.
Equipped with advanced technologies such as automated wood panel saws (IMA Schelling), welding tables, robotic auto-spray systems, sanding profiles, wood profilers, laser cutting machines, plate bending machines, lathes, and industrial ovens, the facilities reaffirm Interni’s dedication to uncompromising quality standards—ensuring excellence from wood to metal, and positioning Interni Group to seamlessly deliver both bespoke luxury projects and large-scale developments. Concluding the tour, the designers were introduced to Michael Kwee, Deputy Managing Director Diorrama Cipta Pratama.

A Legacy of Excellence
Founded in 1999 in Semarang, Interni Group emerged during a period of rapid growth in Indonesia’s property, residential, and commercial sectors. Recognizing the lack of professional interior contractors in the region, Interni began with smaller projects and quickly earned trust for large-scale developments.
Today, with a 3-hectare manufacturing facility in Semarang, equipped with advanced machinery for woodworking, veneer, metal, and upholstery, Interni has become one of Indonesia’s leading interior and furniture companies. Its products—crafted with premium materials, cutting-edge technology, and meticulous attention to detail—are distributed across Java, Sumatra, Sulawesi, Kalimantan, and even internationally to Singapore and Brisbane. With more than two decades of expertise, Interni continues to expand, including opening offices and factories covering 1000 m2 in Jakarta. Its reputation is built not only on product quality but also on long-term client relationships—rooted in trust, service, and timeliness.
Craft & Innovation for the Future
For the designers, this journey was far more than just a factory tour. It was an inspiring experience—demonstrating how advanced technology and timeless craftsmanship converge to shape the future of Indonesia’s interior and furniture design. From rare veneers and elegant furniture to industrial-scale doors and precision metalworks, Interni Group reaffirms itself as a new standard—bridging local heritage with global aspirations.
