Fashion-inspired Pastries Redefine The Art of Afternoon Tea at The St. Regis Jakarta

At The Drawing Room of The St. Regis Jakarta, Executive Pastry Chef Kevin Lee, recently named Chef of The Year 2026 by Stelliers Asia Awards 2026, transforms fashion’s silhouettes into edible works of art, celebrating creativity across disciplines.

Fashion and pastry share a common language of form, colour, texture and craftsmanship. At The St. Regis Jakarta, Executive Pastry Chef Kevin Lee brings these disciplines together through The House of Astor Afternoon Tea, a collection that translates the visual codes of fashion into imaginative culinary creations.

Available throughout October 2026 at The Drawing Room, the collection draws inspiration from the event of Paris Fashion Week, transforming accessories and distinctive silhouettes into exquisite pastries. A Pistachio Financier with Orange Blossom takes the shape of an emerald handbag, a Mango and Coconut Cheesecake reinterprets a sculptural skirt, while a Red Velvet Bar becomes a playful lipstick and a Strawberry Marmalade and Lychee Mousse Delight captures the elegance of a high heel.

Beyond their striking forms, the creations reveal the creative parallels between fashion design and pastry artistry: precision, imagination and meticulous attention to detail, balanced with the pleasure of taste.

The exclusive media presentation was held in collaboration with renowned Indonesian designer Sebastian Gunawan, featuring an intimate trunk show of his RED LABEL collection.

The trunk show came to life through Abang None Jakarta, with fashion personalities Ian Hugen and Cisca Becker as featured muses, in collaboration with Dinas Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif (Disparekraf).
