A Modern Armchair
On display for the first time at the recent Salone del Mobile.Milano 2024, where it was highly appreciated by the public, the CONSTANTINO ARMCHAIR designed by Shinsaku Miyamoto is the newest living proposal by Ritzwell and a perfect embodiment of the brand’s philosophy. The formal elegance that distinguishes this piece, which is the fruit of a successful combination of Japanese sensitivity and contemporary style, conveys a feeling of harmony that is enhanced by the technically advanced upholstery produced by the company’s atelier.
The finishes and details crafted by the skilled hands of Ritzwell’s craftsmen complete and enhance the personality of the piece. The frame in solid oak or walnut wood is connoted by the tapered legs and their dynamic development as they bend in a curved line on the front and turn into the armrests.

The latter are embellished by a leather or thick leather upholstery and offer maximum comfort. The thick leather version of the armrest is sewn by hand, while the leather version is piped for a more minimalistic finish. The paddings of the backrest and seat cushion are made with several layers of materials with different intensities and offer outstanding ergonomic support inviting users to surrender to relaxation even for longer moments.
The fabric or leather upholstery is offered in a wide range of colour gradations to meet the most diverse furnishing needs. The armchair is suitable for both elegant residential environments and hospitality facilities. It finds its highest expression in the walnut version with Sohboku and Gen colour variations. These are produced using a delicate finish that maintains the wood grain. In the Sohboku colour variation, the deepest part of the material is dyed with an intense, almost black-blue – a process that gradually becomes lighter towards the external surface, enriching the wood with nuances that are reminiscent of the movement of the sea.
The Gen colour variation, on the other hand, conveys a warm and intense shade of brown that comes close to the colour of ebony, with a sophisticated and dynamic look distinguished by a subtle colour gradation that echoes the hues of the sky after sunset. The measurements of the CONSTANTINO ARMCHAIR are cm W56xD62xH84.
