B&B Italia Group Brings Italian Design Excellence to the World’s Largest Sailing Yacht
Luxury interiors meet maritime innovation as B&B Italia Group has been selected to furnish the interiors of the Orient Express Corinthian, the world’s largest sailing yacht. Blending bespoke craftsmanship with iconic contemporary furniture, the project reinforces the Italian design house’s expertise in delivering sophisticated contract interiors on an extraordinary scale.

Designed by Maxime D’Angeac, architect & Orient Express Artistic Director, the 220-metre vessel features 54 suites, five Michelin-starred restaurants, a spa, and expansive public spaces that evoke the timeless glamour of luxury travel. For the project, B&B Italia Group produced 52 custom-designed furnishings—more than 500 pieces in total—in just ten months, alongside over 130 signature products from the B&B Italia and Maxalto collections.

Among the selected designs are the Caratos chairs, Lilium sofa, Febo seating, and Pathos console, seamlessly integrated throughout the yacht’s interiors. The collaboration showcases the Group’s ability to combine industrial precision with bespoke craftsmanship, delivering tailored solutions for one of the most ambitious hospitality and yachting projects to date.

Powered by three towering masts and 1,500 square metres of rigid sails on each mast, the Orient Express Corinthian introduces a more sustainable approach to luxury cruising. Sailing across the Mediterranean and Adriatic before crossing the Atlantic to the Caribbean, the vessel offers an immersive travel experience with refined design.

The Orient Express Corinthian has been recognised with the Le French Design FD100 People’s Choice Award, celebrating outstanding interior architecture and projects that champion French creativity on the global stage.
