Natural Store Shaped into Contemporary Form

At Frag, stone is more than a surface—it becomes sculptural protagonists in a contemporary vocabulary of living and dining. Across its living and dining collections, travertine and marble lend contemporary interiors a sense of permanence, their natural veining and tactile character balanced by precise forms and meticulous craftsmanship.

Kawa

Among the latest expressions is Kawa, designed by Staffan Tollgård and Filippo Castellani. Introduced during Fuorisalone 2026, the coffee-table collection explores the intersection of Scandinavian restraint and architectural geometry. Six configurations pair sculptural oval bases with travertine tops, whose distinctive veining becomes an integral part of the design.

In Myon, by Oscar and Gabriele Buratti take a more architectural approach. The collection of tables and coffee tables juxtaposes slim marble or travertine surfaces with solid cylindrical wooden supports. The result is a deliberate tension between the visual lightness of the tops and the inherent monumentality of stone.

Artù, by Michele di Fonzo, reinterprets the round table as a sculptural centrepiece. Its marble tops—available in Grafite, Calacatta Oro, Nero Marquina, Carrara and Emperador—meet leather elements in in a rich interplay of texture, colour and materiality.

Together, Kawa, Myon and Artù demonstrate Frag’s ability to turn the inherent beauty of stone into a contemporary design vocabulary—where natural irregularity meets disciplined form.
