An Unexpected Three-Course Coffee Omakase by Georgius Audrey Teja
Some journeys begin with a single bean. Others begin with a memory. And good ideas start with a great cup of coffee. This October, The Lounge at InterContinental Jakarta Pondok Indah welcomes The Champion’s Brew, a three-course coffee omakase by Georgius Audrey Teja—Odi—the 2025 World Coffee in Good Spirits Champion, created in collaboration with Omakafé.

Entirely non-alcoholic and rooted in Indonesian heritage, the experience transforms familiar flavours into unexpected expressions. Think less coffee tasting, more sensory journey.

Vetiver highball
It begins at the root, where an Indonesian botanical is reimagined into a fragrant citrus-laced syrup, paired with coffee in a highball-inspired creation: Vetiver Highball. Then comes Klepon—pandan, coconut and palm sugar rendered into a strikingly clear drink that turns nostalgia into surprise.

The finale brings Wedang into focus: hot espresso, pandan and ginger beneath a cool layer of coconut cream, finished with nutmeg. Warm meets cool; tradition meets technique.

Wedang
For Audrey, coffee is a language for stories – “Every course here starts from something Indonesians already know—a root, a sweet, a warm drink from home—and asks them to meet it again for the first time.”

Kelepon
The result is a thoughtful expression of Omakafé’s philosophy: carrying Indonesia’s heritage wherever it travels. At The Lounge, that philosophy takes on the feeling of a homecoming—an Indonesian coffee champion bringing the country’s flavours back to the heart of Jakarta.

The Champion’s Brew runs from 1–31 October 2026 at The Lounge, InterContinental Jakarta Pondok Indah. Audrey will be present on 1 October from 2:00 PM to launch the experience.
