Weaving Connection: Sandei, Coulisse, Le Chateau Living, Dharmawan

At JiaCurated 2026, Sandei brings its expertise in architectural shading into a new conversation with design, nature and human connection. Joining forces with Coulisse, Le Chateau Living and lighting consultant Dharmawan, the renowned blind specialist presents The Threaded — An Architecture of Connection, a collaborative pavilion designed by Studio S+AO.

Set within the landscape of Pengembak Beach, The Threaded pavilion invites visitors into a space where light, texture and innovation intertwine. More than a showcase of individual products, the pavilion explores how sustainability, architecture, materiality and craftsmanship can come together to create meaningful connections between people, nature and design. The Threaded is conceived not as a single enclosed structure, but as a sequence of modular forms opening through a distinctive 45-degree fold. This architectural gesture allows light, landscape and space to intertwine, creating a pavilion that evolves with its surroundings.

As part of the experience and connection, the pavilion also hosts “Dusk and Delight” on 15 August, bringing invited guests together for an evening of conversation, design and hospitality. The spirit of connection continues through an intimate Flower Workshop (Aug 15) —a small yet meaningful ritual of creating with nature, awakening the senses, sparking creativity and encouraging a slower, more personal encounter with the world around us. Perhaps meaningful design is not only found in the spaces we inhabit, but also in the moments and connections they allow us to create.
