A Monumental Glow
Some works don’t just fill a space—they shift how it feels. Beacon does exactly that, arriving as a quiet yet striking presence that moves with the rhythm of the city.

Created by Lee Broom in collaboration with BROKIS, the installation brings together 91 illuminated glass columns in a chandelier-like formation at an architectural scale. It exists somewhere between sculpture, lighting, and structure—precise in its geometry, yet soft in the way it diffuses light.

Presented during Milan Design Week from 21 to 26 April 2026 at Piazza San Babila in Milan, Beacon unfolds naturally within one of the city’s busiest pedestrian routes. It isn’t something you seek out—it’s something you encounter—a moment of pause, revealed in passing.

Presented by Magran Living
First introduced during the London Design Festival 2025, the work continues its journey across cities, carrying a visual language rooted in modernist rhythm while quietly adapting to each new setting.

At its core is BROKISGLASS, an upcycled material formed from fused glass fragments. It captures and diffuses light with subtle irregularity, giving the installation its layered glow—where sustainability feels inherent rather than imposed.

That same thinking extends beyond its monumental form. After its tour, Beacon will live on as a limited series of table lamps, each piece distilling the original into something more intimate. A portion of proceeds will support Place2Be, adding a thoughtful human dimension to its lifecycle.
With Beacon, design becomes something felt as much as seen—an experience that integrates quietly into everyday life, leaving a lasting impression without needing to announce itself.
