A Dialogue Between Past and Future

For Maria Grazia Chiuri, fashion is transformation. This season, Dior’s creative director reinterprets the house’s heritage, weaving history and modernity into a seamless narrative. Clothing becomes a vessel for cultural and aesthetic codes, shaped by time, movement, and identity.

The collection is a study in contrasts—masculine jackets meet bustiers, structured coats follow the body’s curves, and transparency plays against matte textures. The white shirt, a symbol of gender fluidity, nods to Gianfranco Ferrés architectural precision, while detachable frilled collars evoke Virginia Woolf’s Orlando. Elements of theater unfold on the runway’s scenography in a five stages, choreographed by renowned American artist Robert Wilson: shifting colors, dramatic silhouettes, and a world in motion.

Icons return with fresh energy—the J’adore Dior T-shirt by Galliano, cut-out embroidery, and baroque pearl-adorned ribbons reminiscent of crinolines. The tailcoat makes a statement, lace collars add romance, and utilitarian raincoats blur the line between function and fantasy. Through this interplay of past and future, Chiuri crafts a vision of femininity that is both reflective and forward-looking.
