Ahead of its opening, Clasutta’s latest solo presentation at Whitestone Gallery Singapore marks an important moment in the artist’s growing presence on the international stage.

Clasutta, a Jakarta-based artist, transforms everyday moments into a visual language that feels both familiar and intimate, expressed through vivid characters and softly rounded, playful forms. Beneath this surface, however, lies a quiet tension—revealing emotional layers that unfold gradually, somewhere between familiarity and ambiguity.

Since graduating from Atreyu Moniaga Project 12 in 2024 and making her international debut with Whitestone Gallery, Clasutta’s creative journey has continued to evolve across exhibitions in multiple cities. She is also the first Indonesian artist to be represented by the gallery, marking a significant milestone in her career.

Presented as part of the duo-solo exhibition “Through Reverie: Love and Memory”, her work “Roommates?” explores relationships that begin lightly—almost playfully—before slowly developing into something more complex and layered. The exhibition also features works by Malaysian artist C.K. Koh, whose practice captures fleeting moments of memory through subtle, introspective gestures.

Rather than offering clear answers, her works linger in an in-between space—where emotions and memories stay with us a little longer than expected.

An opening reception will be held on 9 May 2026, from 4 PM to 6:30 PM.
