Jakarta Steps Into Anotherland, an Immersive World of Art, Cocktails and Curious Discoveries
A gin launch rarely feels like stepping into an art installation. Yet that’s precisely what Hendrick’s Gin delivered in Jakarta with Anotherland, an immersive experience celebrating the arrival of Another Hendrick’s—the brand’s first permanent expression in nearly a decade.

Rather than unveiling a bottle through a conventional cocktail party, Hendrick’s transformed ASHTA District 8 into an imaginative world where design, contemporary art and botanical craftsmanship converged. Inspired by the campaign Rediscover Hendrick’s, Discover Another Hendrick’s, visitors were invited to explore a series of multisensory experiences that reflected the dual personality of the new gin—familiar yet intriguingly unexpected.

The launch marks an important milestone for the Scottish distiller. Created by Master Distiller Lesley Gracie, Another Hendrick’s introduces bright orange blossom layered with silky cacao, adding a richer, warmer dimension while preserving the brand’s signature rose-and-cucumber character. The result is a remarkably balanced spirit that feels both comforting and refreshingly original.

The true highlight, however, was Anotherland itself. At its heart stood an arresting mirrored installation by Indonesian twin artists Rama and Romy Dwiwahyu, whose work explored identity, reflection and the coexistence of opposing forces. Through shifting perspectives, mirrored surfaces and optical illusions, the installation created a poetic dialogue between the original Hendrick’s and its new counterpart—transforming the launch into a contemplative journey rather than a product showcase.

Beyond the art installation, guests enjoyed Hendrick’s signature cocktails, gin-infused Sgroppino sorbets by Paletas Wey, and interactive experiences that celebrated the brand’s whimsical world. The launch was further enlivened by Alexis Sang, Southeast Asia Brand Ambassador for Hendrick’s Gin, who guided guests through the distinctive character of Another Hendrick’s.

The evening culminated with an exclusive unveiling before continuing at Alice at The Langham Jakarta, reinforcing Hendrick’s reputation for creating experiences as distinctive as its spirits.

By bringing together Inventive mixology and immersive design, Anotherland proved that discovering a new gin can be every bit as captivating as discovering an entirely new world.
