A Celebration of Four Decades of Adrian Gan’s Creative Vision
Marking Adrian Gan couture’s 40 years in fashion, SÉANCE is conceived as a quiet act of reflection. The collection unfolds with a measured sensitivity—summoning memory, craftsmanship, and personal history without spectacle, allowing meaning to surface through nuance.

The visual language of SÉANCE weaves together a rich spectrum of references—from Victorian-era elegance and Gothic atmospheres to the poetic freedom of Surrealism, romantic sensibilities, and the deep-rooted nuances of Indonesian culture.

Vintage lace, restored textiles, and layered constructions form the foundation of the collection, carrying with them the gentle weight of time. These elements are reworked into contemporary forms that feel deliberate and introspective. Here, Adrian left the Chinoiserie signature behind to embrace creative freedom.

A restrained palette of bone white, soft black, and muted neutrals sets the emotional register. Silhouettes move with controlled fluidity: elongated lines, asymmetry, sheer overlays, and softened structure. Cultural references appear with restraint—motifs drawn from Indonesian visual traditions are integrated almost imperceptibly, allowing craft to speak louder than symbolism.

The closing bridal sequence—veiled in symbolism and mystery. SÉANCE ultimately reads as a long creative journey. It reflects a designer to look forward with quiet assurance. In its restraint, the collection reveals Adrian Gan’s enduring strength: an ability to evolve without abandoning depth, and to mark longevity with clarity.

Nothing feels overstated; each gesture is intentional, each detail measured.

Beyond its visual elegance, the presentation carries a deeper purpose, as part of the collection’s proceeds will be directed to aid flood victims in Sumatra through the Tzu Chi Foundation Indonesia.
