Salvatori previews Nagi, the new texture created for the Italian brand by Yabu Pushelberg, a studio based in New York and Toronto that was established by George Yabu and Glenn Pushelberg at Milan Design Week 2025.

Nagi is the first of several captivating products that were unveiled in April at Yabu Pushelberg’s Brera showroom. It features a natural stone finish with subtle undulations that resemble the ripple effect created when a stone hits the water.

Presented by Magran Living
This texture effectively captures the gentle rhythm of water by imitating the patterns of concentrated circles that radiate outward from the center, gradually becoming less intense. The Japanese word “Nagi” (凪) refers to the tranquility of the sea and evokes a sense of peacefulness and calm.

“Translating the movement of water into solid stone is a reflection of Salvatori’s ethos – crafting pieces that exist in spaces shaped by water. From bathroom vanities to basins, wall textures, and flooring, this product celebrates the essential relationship between water and stone,” explains George Yabu and Glenn Pushelberg.

Nagi is a 586×292-mm rectangular tile with a wavy design that progressively widens its ripples. Its short sides begin and end at the same height, giving it a distinctive design that can be laid either horizontally or vertically. This produces an intriguing three-dimensional interplay of wavy lines that reflect shifting light in a dynamic pattern.
Salvatori’s signature collection of marbles and limestones, including Bianco Carrara, Crema d’Orcia Select, Pietra d’Avola, Silk Georgette, Verde Antico, Verde Guatemala, and Placido Paradiso, are available for Nagi.
Following the success of the Anima and Punto bathroom collections, as well as the Assembly collection and Salvatori’s flagship showroom in SoHo, this new product continues the collaboration between Salvatori and designers Yabu Pushelberg.
