A Softer Way to Work

What if the home office could feel less like a separate workspace and more like part of the home?

That is the idea behind Home Office Scenarios – Chapter 3 by Dieffebi, where clean geometry meets a more relaxed approach to everyday living. Rather than treating work as something that needs to be contained, the chapter explores how thoughtful design can adapt to changing routines and the way we live.

At the centre is the Line System Desk by Elisa Ossino, a modular system created to evolve with changing needs. Its combination of shelving, work surfaces, and storage units can be arranged in different configurations, allowing it to define a shared setup, a quieter corner for concentration, or a more integrated furnishing solution. The result is structured yet visually light, bringing a sense of order without making the room feel overly formal.

Adding a softer note is the Cuvée chair by DorigoDesign. Its enveloping wooden backrest brings warmth and a tactile quality to the setting, while its choice of bases allows it to move easily beyond the desk. From working and studying to sitting at the dining table, Cuvée transitions naturally between different parts of the home while maintaining a cohesive visual language.

Together, the two pieces suggest a more fluid way of thinking about working from home. The Line System Desk brings structure that can shift with the day, while Cuvée adds a sense of ease, creating an environment that feels considered without feeling overly office-like.
