October 17, 2024, to May 4, 2025: Showing About 100 of Lindbergh’s work

“My great subject was women. To follow them as closely as possible so that they could express themselves and assert their truth. I track down a mystery, I seek an emotion.” –Peter Lindbergh

The exhibition “Dior/Lindbergh” at La Galerie Dior in Paris showcases the long-standing collaboration between the French fashion house and renowned photographer Peter Lindbergh. The exhibition features around 100 of Lindbergh’s photographs (taken between 1988 and 2018), often displayed alongside the actual Dior dresses they depict, highlighting the shared focus on celebrating the essence of womanhood.  The dialogues have spanned the tenures of various Dior designers, including Christian Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Marc Bohan, Gianfranco Ferré, John Galliano, Raf Simons, and Maria Grazia Chiuri.

Lindbergh’s naturalistic approach to fashion photography, which aimed to unveil beauty without artifice, aligned with Dior‘s woman-first philosophy. The exhibition provides a unique lens to view the history of the Dior house through Lindbergh’s poetic and humanistic lens.

The exhibition includes previously unseen contact sheets, work print and a special shoot commissioned by Dior in 2018, which took place on the streets of New York and has never been shown to the public before.
