Clarissa Dorn and Roel Haagmans followed their passion for light and crystal by founding WINDFALL company in Munich during the summer of 2004, aiming to innovate in the design of crystal lighting fixtures.

Roel Haagmans gained recognition globally for his work on traditional and oriental chandeliers for the Sultan Quabos Mosque in Muscat and the Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi. Clarissa Dorn contributed her extensive background in art, interior design, and management to the venture.

Their initial collaboration, the “Scarlett,” a crystal cascade set within a colorful, transparent Organza shade, remains a popular design. Not long after, they introduced their second creation, “Hellbob,” and pioneered a new approach to lighting crystal chandeliers with the “Windfall curler” method which led WINDFALL to a custom-made crystal spheres.

For the past 20 years, WINDFALL has cooperated with renowned architects and interior designers, such as WOW architects, Warner Wong Design (Singapore), Perry Fung Architects (Sydney), Molecule (Melbourne), Mohammed Harasani Architects (Jeddah), Sources Unlimited (Mumbai), Bost Design (Berlin) and Australian CBS Builders.
