Celebrating La Villeggiatura

Against the sunlit backdrop of Malibu Pier, ZEGNA unveiled its Summer 2027 collection, transforming the California coastline into a vision of the Italian Riviera. Conceived by Artistic Director Alessandro Sartori, the presentation celebrated La Villeggiatura—the Italian tradition of escaping to the seaside and embracing a slower, more refined way of living.

For Sartori, La Villeggiatura is more than a seasonal escape; it is a mindset that reflects the Italian art of living and dressing well. This philosophy shaped a collection defined by effortless sophistication, where relaxed tailoring, fluid silhouettes, and lightweight fabrics including linen, silk, leather, and seersucker expressed a refined sense of ease. The vertical, dégagé silhouette gently followed the body, while irregular stripes—appearing throughout the collection—served as a visual signature of easy going summer elegance.

Softly structured jackets, easy trousers, tailored shorts, and breezy shirts reflected a contemporary vision of luxury rooted in comfort, versatility, and craftsmanship. Innovative details such as interchangeable shirt collars and adjustable blazer silhouettes reinforced ZEGNA’s ongoing pursuit of functional elegance. A palette of ocean blues, aquatic greens, sandy neutrals, and vibrant Mediterranean accents further captured the spirit of an endless summer by the sea.

ZEGNA’s Malibu presentation offered an immersive lifestyle experience. Set amid striped parasols and beach-inspired scenery overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the event blurred the boundaries between fashion and leisure, transporting guests into a world where craftsmanship, travel, and contemporary Italian living converge. Echoing the environmental vision behind Oasi Zegna, the brand also partnered with California State Parks, reinforcing its belief that nature should be protected and preserved for future generations.

With Summer 2027, ZEGNA presents a distinctly Italian vision of modern luxury—one where elegance feels effortless, leisure is cultivated, and summer becomes a way of life.

Following the show, ZEGNA extended the narrative through Villa Zegna, an exclusive Los Angeles experience inspired by the tradition of relocating one’s life to a summer villa. Designed as a nostalgic 1970s Italian holiday home, the space invited guests to discover the Summer 2027 collection, commission made-to-measure creations, and immerse themselves in ZEGNA’s vision of contemporary Italian living.
