Classic femininity, reimagined through texture, craftsmanship and couture
At The Langham Fashion Soirée 2026, Yogie Pratama turns texture into architecture. Presented on 14 August at The Langham, Jakarta, his latest 30-look couture collection revisits the elegance of the 1950s through a contemporary lens, where the hourglass silhouette meets fluid draping, precise construction and intricate handwork.

For Yogie, texture is more than ornamentation. It becomes the visual language of the collection—building depth, dimension and movement across each look. The meticulous tambour beading gives the surfaces an almost sculptural quality, catching the light as the garments move, while three-dimensional appliqué, ruching and pleating further enrich the silhouettes.

A restrained palette of pink, nude, gold and rose gold creates a softly luminous mood. Chiffon introduces fluidity; silk taffeta provides structure; and elaborate beading connects the two in a dialogue between softness and form.

The inspiration comes from the 1950s, a decade Yogie sees as an enduring expression of feminine elegance—from its beauty codes to its unmistakable hourglass proportions. Yet this is not nostalgia. Classic silhouettes are reinterpreted with lighter construction and richer surface treatments, translating the spirit of the era for the contemporary woman.

The result is couture that speaks through both form and touch: an exploration of how craftsmanship can transform fabric into something architectural, emotional and alive. At The Langham Fashion Soirée, Yogie Pratama celebrates a femininity that is graceful yet assured—rooted in classic elegance in the present time.
