A celebration of Mexican heritage: Cilia, Cobá, Nilia, Can Wall Structure
Studio davidpompa debuts Materia México, a striking exhibition at Euroluce, Salone del Mobile, Milan Design Week 2025. This collection is a celebration of Mexican heritage, reinterpreted through contemporary lighting design. Blending age-old craftsmanship with sculptural innovation, it showcases the studio’s ongoing exploration of materiality and tradition.

A European Premiere: Four New Collections
For the first time in Europe, studio davidpompa presents four distinct collections, each a dialogue between past and present. These works transform indigenous materials into timeless lighting sculptures, where every texture and element tells a story:
• Barro Negro, a black clay from Oaxaca, gains its sheen through smoke-fired tradition.
• Recycled Glass emerges from discarded fragments, capturing light in its raw, tactile surface.
• Volcanic Stone and Cantera speak of ancient architecture and enduring natural beauty.
• Natural Palm, handwoven in Zapotitlán, links generations through craft.

CILIA Collection
A refined blend of handwoven palm and precision-engineered metal, Cilia balances organic warmth with structural clarity. The result is an architectural lighting piece that feels both timeless and tactile. Optional diffuser lenses will soon offer customizable lighting angles.

CAN Wall Structure
Combining industrial poise with artisanal depth, the CAN wall lamp features a tiltable barro negro shade and a sleek, functional arm. Its cable-tension design adds visual drama, while its pivoting capabilities adapt effortlessly to modern and traditional spaces.

COBÁ Collection
A bold composition of recycled silver, Cobá is defined by stacked rings that reflect and refract light with a mesmerizing, sculptural quality. Precision craftsmanship meets luminous motion in this striking series.

NILIA Collection
Nilía reimagines handwoven palm into layered, geometric forms that shift with movement and light. In Nilia Nickel, brushed metal contrasts with palm’s earthy texture, creating a harmony of warmth and cool modernism—flexible, graceful, and architectural.
