Some Clues :
CHAPTER 1 – Dripping, the art of overcoming limits
An artistic expression linked to the so-called surrealist “automatic writing”, Dripping was born in the 1940s and is inextricably linked to its best-known author Jackson Pollock, who transformed it into his characteristic sign.

“We were inspired by the technique devised by the Belgian Max Ernst in the 40s because it represents the concept of freedom so dear to us”.
In fact, in SICIS we have never set limits. We started with the mosaic, but from the small tile, we moved on to large glass slabs and then to fabrics and furniture.

CHAPTER 2 – Matisse and the joy of creativity
“It was Henry Matisse’s paper cut-outs that inspired us.The artist created some of his famous works with the collage technique, speaking precisely of ‘painting with scissors’ and ‘cutting directly in colour’. He believed that some traits of childhood ingenuity remained present in each of us even in adulthood, and expressed themselves, for example, through the use of artistic techniques related to manual skills, such as collage,” Matilde pugliese, SICIS Creative lab.

CHAPTER 3 – Pure Art
” The idea came from pure abstractionism, the Suprematism, in which any reference to reality is eliminated and the work is based exclusively on colour and geometry. The graphics we have expressed therefore play on a composition based on contrasting colours and on the trends of the shapes, which take different directions, ” Matilde pugliese, SICIS Creative lab.
