The centerpieces of a dynamic and unconventional exhibition.

For Milan Design Week 2024, Italian figurative design company Seletti, cherished the world over for its unconventional way of reconceptualizing reality, presents new products ranging from new lighting fixtures to original home furnishings and even essential household items.

Over the course of the week, you may discover an unprecedented layout inside the Corso Garibaldi flagship store encompassing the store’s interior, the showroom garden, and a new space adjacent to the courtyard where the new products are presented in a unforeseen and engaging way, derived from collaborations with creative minds such as Marcantonio, the studio Brigolin Baschera, Antonio Aricò, Uto Balmoral, Gianpiero D’Alessandro, Giampiero Romanò and Andrea Ghisalberti, Simone Falcetta and Roberto Bruno.

Public involvement is further engaged by performances and installations curated by three artists from the Krass cultural association who directly observe the scene from the showroom windows and intrigue passers-by, triggering a reversal of perceptions in regard to what animates the inside and what lives on the outside. The performances go beyond store windows with wandering improvisations that provoke bizarre perspectives and curious questions.

With this new set-up and these new products, we envision making the Seletti showroom an increasingly welcoming and central environment for the Milan Design Week,” says Stefano Seletti, the brand’s art director. “We have expanded the store’s spaces in order to offer our community something beyond a dynamic and immersive experience in which to uncover creativity and the most multifaceted forms of art, from which we can find engagement and inspiration.”

VITAMIN – design by Marcantonio
Vitamin is the new colorful lighting project by Marcantonio. The enduring chemistry between Seletti and the artist-designer is now reinforced with a new collection of abat-jours, candelabras, chandeliers, and candlesticks where the unexpected protagonists are succulent vegetables and fresh fruits. Marcantonio continues to experiment with images taken from the natural world and is now portrayingfruits and vegetablesin a unique and original way. Not only does it fill everyday spaces with color, but it also pays tribute to their benefits, with the name Vitamin serving to emphasize how crucial they are to everyone’s nourishment and well-being.

A tomato supports a carrot, which itself holds up a lemon; anorange becomes the base of a banana which holds up an eggplant; arrangements of peppers, peaches, cucumbers, and even pumpkins, eggplants, watermelons, pears, pineapples, and lemons give shape to bright sculptural forms; colorful, unprecedented products in which fruits and vegetables are always fresh and seasonal.

SUPERFURNITURE — design by Brigolin Baschera
Brigolin Baschera – the design studio that conceived the Seletti retail concept with flexible and dynamic spaces where products are exhibited in interweaving rows and displays with a graphic impact that plays on the contrast between “industrial” materials and luxurious finishes – now imagine Superfurniture, a collection of furnishings that invites color into any home.  Beds, furniture, tables, chairs, benches, coffee table, screens, appliqués, shelves, nightstands, and coat hangers characterized by unprecedented volumes and playful colors coupled with geometric patterns that bring color and joy to any space.

MAGNA GRAECIA COBALT VERSION — design by Antonio Aricò
After the great success of the collection’s 2023 launch, Seletti is now expanding Magna Graecia, a line born from the creative exchange with Antonio Aricò. Sculptures, vases, carafes and earthenware accessories are now colored with an intense bright blue which evokes the beauty of the sky and the sea of Calabria, from where the Italian artist-designer originates. Magna Graecia Cobalt Version portrays a new interpretation of the Mediterranean lifestyle, thatfresh energy that invigorates summer gardens and animates the soul.

PIECE OF ME — design by Uto Balmoral
Seletti’s collaboration with designer Uto Balmoral now gives rise to a novelty inspired by theiconography of classical statues. The proportions of male and females bodies now stand as the perfect representation of harmony and balance.

Piece of Me is like theimaginary plunder of an archaeological find, an original piece intended to be used or simply displayed as an invaluable house sculpture.

MONSTERS and LOVE HURTS YOU — design by Gianpiero D’Alessandro
After creating the garden set-up at the Seletti store during the previous Milan Design Week, Seletti solidifies its accord with Gianpiero D’Alessandro — designer, artist, and graphic designer who has collaborated with some of the most renowned brands in the world in addition to founding InBetweeners with Justin Bieber in 2022, one of the most significant projects ever carried out in the field of NFTs and the metaverse. Love Hurts You is an art piece turned decoration in the Seletti way: a cactus with cartoonish, almost anthropomorphic forms holding a “band-aided” balloon in a tender embrace, a limited edition work in 999 pieces that symbolizes putting your heart back on your sleeve, even after a romantic tragedy.

MONSTERS — design by Gianpiero D’Alessandro

Furthermore, the Monsters tableware collection—inspired by the tableware typical of children’s parties—is made of melamine and is therefore light and resistant, allowing every meal and every party to journey back in time to rediscover the joy and cheerfulness of childhood.

REFLECTING EYES — design by Giampiero Romanò and Andrea Ghisalberti
Giampiero Romanò and Andrea Ghisalberti conceive Ciclope and Trilogy for Seletti, two new products sure to embellish everyday life. Reflecting Eyes is an original reinterpretation of the traditional function of a mirror in which a golden frame full of details and decorations contains a reflective surface with a curious eye in the center that creates a play of lavish illusions for those looking in the mirror in an unprecedented way.

HAWAIIAN REFLECTIONS – design Simone Falcetta
Hawaiian reflections is the second project designed by Simone Falcetta for Seletti: colorful mirrors born from the desire to bring into everyday spaces classic tattoos that now come to life in a third dimension. Icons from the imagery of American tattoos, women with Hawaiian necklaces relax under the shade of lush palm trees surrounded by colorful flowers, are the protagonists of these novelties with a vintage flavor.

PIXEL MIRROR — design by Roberto Bruno
Roberto Bruno collaborates with Seletti for the first time, conceiving a collection which serves as an explicit declaration of love for pixel art. A collection of satisfying mirrors with colorful frames that evoke the pop imagery of classic video-game protagonists from the eighties and nineties. Pixel Mirror portrays a beautiful escape into the marvelous memories of summers spent in arcades.

INNER GLOW S – design Marcantonio
The work of art created by Marcantonio in 2022 for Luci d’Artista in Turin now becomes a design object with which to bring the language of creativity into domestic environments. Poetically evoking images of children carefully holding a glowing sphere in their hands, Inner Glow S is Marcantonio’s lighting project that reconnects us in an immediate way to that childlike, curious, spontaneous soul that still dwells in each of us.
