The Global Benchmark for The Design and Furniture Industry
The 64th edition of Salone del Mobile.Milano 2026 returns to Rho Fiera Milano from 21–26 April with strategic approach, gathering over 1,900 exhibitors from 32 countries across more than 169,000 square metres. With 36.6% of brands coming from abroad and multiple pavilions already sold out, the fair reinforces its position as the global benchmark for the design and furniture industry.

At its core, the Salone continues to anchor four key annual platforms—Salone Internazionale del Mobile, the International Bathroom Exhibition, Workplace3.0 and S.Project—alongside the return of EuroCucina / FTK – Technology For the Kitchen. Together, they map the evolving landscape of contemporary living, from domestic environments to workplace systems, with a strong emphasis on sustainability, smart technologies and user-centric design.

A defining shift for 2026 is the launch of two new initiatives—Salone Contract and Salone Raritas—signalling the fair’s expansion from a product showcase into a broader design ecosystem. Salone Contract addresses large-scale, integrated projects across hospitality, real estate and public spaces, supported by an international forum featuring Rem Koolhaas and a forthcoming masterplan developed with David Gianotten of OMA. Meanwhile, Salone Raritas, curated by Annalisa Rosso with exhibition design by Formafantasma, introduces a collectible design platform dedicated to rare, experimental and one-off pieces, featuring galleries such as Nilufar.

Beyond the exhibition halls, the Salone extends into a cultural programme of growing depth. The Public Programme, Drafting Futures. Conversations about Next Perspectives, reinforces its role as a discursive platform, while installations such as Aurea, an “architectural fiction” by Maison Numéro 20 led by Oscar Lucien Ono, explore new narratives of luxury and spatial experience.

Key thematic directions emerge across sectors: EuroCucina foregrounds the integration of AI, sustainability and biophilic design in kitchen systems, while the International Bathroom Exhibition reflects a shift toward wellness-oriented, spa-like environments defined by longevity and performance. Meanwhile, SaloneSatellite continues to spotlight emerging talent, with 700 designers under 35 exploring the theme of craftsmanship and innovation as a future-facing design language.

EuroCucina and International Bathroom Exhibition
The fair’s urban dimension remains integral. From the opening concert at Teatro alla Scala to citywide initiatives like Common Archive—The White Night of Design—and curated itineraries across Milan’s architectural landmarks, the Salone once again positions the city itself as an extension of the exhibition.

In 2026, the Salone del Mobile.Milano evolves beyond its role as a marketplace into a systemic platform—one that not only reflects the design industry, but actively shapes its future across disciplines, geographies and scales.
