Sahrai Milano, leader in the luxury rugs industry, as every year will be part of the Salone del Mobile, from 18 to 23 April 2023. The Brand known for its innovative approach and commitment to exploring new frontiers, will showcase its latest novelties and designs for the occasion. Sahrai was born from the passion for the most refined Rugs, for the desire to create works of art that pay homage to the Persian culture and tradition, and is at the same time capable of looking to the future through continuous research of materials, production techniques and styles. Under the guidance of Rana and Ramine Sahrai, the Brand continues to look towards the future and passionately write its story.

The catalog of novelties proposed by Sahrai has never been so rich, with its most exclusive creations, visible in Hall 3 – Stand C19: a window inviting you into the fascinating world of Sahrai, where history, tradition, craftsmanship, innovation, and aesthetics masterfully coexist.

The Brand arrives at Salone del Mobile 2023 with its distinctive energy and desire to make new dreams and projects come true. The journey into Sahrai’s universe this year is defined by the beauty of nature and its vibrant life-affirming reality. Nature embodies the essence of freedom and sensitivity for the Brand, as the feeling of weightlessness one experiences in close proximity to it is incomparable. This profound connection is evident throughout the stand and is expressed in different forms through both indoor and outdoor rugs.
Sahrai‘s immersion in the world of nature begins with the collaboration with renowned designer Marcel Wanders. North, South, East and West are the four creations by Marcel Wanders inspired by neoclassical decorations that complete the Kaleido of Life Collection path undertaken last year with the presentation of Allure, Charme and Lush that evoke natural elements. All the decorative components of these creations seem to take on a harmonious and hypnotic order as if they were filtered through the lens of a kaleidoscope which radiates the decorative motifs along the straight lines traced by the four cardinal points. The structure of North, South, East and West recalls the ceilings and vaults of royal residences throughout Europe but it is the 3D manufacturing that characterizes these splendid creations. The surface of the rug is very complex to the touch, like fine bas-reliefs carved in marble. Silk in contrast with wool enhances the chiaroscuro and restores all the beauty of unique works that contribute to enriching the Sahrai collections.
The vast world of outdoor design is an integral component of Sahrai’s identity. At SDM 2023, the dedicated outdoor space and the Underwaterlife Collection feature prominently, with the latest proposals drawing inspiration from the invigorating atmosphere of the marine world. Each rug is designed to evoke the feeling of being transported to an enchanting destination, such as the new rug Mallorca where the waves of varying shades of blue expertly capture the perpetual motion of the sea. Similar undulating patterns are expressed by the brand new Saint Barth and Amorgos which feature marine creatures such as fish and jellyfish.
Sahrai is dedicated to the development of projects combining innovation and sustainability to benefit the environment. The Outdoor Collection serves as a clear testament to this commitment. These outdoor rugs are made from polypropylene, a material that is environmentally friendly, durable and entirely recyclable. In line with its ethical responsibilities, the brand has also introduced innovative fibers such as PET, Jute, and Polished Cotton, which are also visible in its indoor collections. By adopting this approach, Sahrai is able to uphold the exceptional softness and durability characterizing its rugs, while ensuring a more environmentally responsible production process. In this context, the Taj Mahal collections with the new Leela, Place Vendome with Cannelle Green and Noor with its best seller Ionic Ivory and the latest Spiral and Sphere are also present. These hand-knotted rugs offer a modern touch and diverse styles while maintaining a sense of homogeneity through the use of natural colors in all models. Among the many novelties, there will be the latest Sahrai rugs of the Mamounia Collection such as Nora, Safa and Taza which are entirely inspired by the Bohemian style for a cozy feel and an alternative look to contemporary interiors. The journey into Sahrai’s universe continues with Montenapoleone, a collection that stands at the top of the Brand’s production, made with the finest Italian yarns, in cashmere or silk.
Sahrai’s Showroom in Via Manzoni 38 will showcase its first capsule titled THE VENUST COLLECTION with Houston, Texas-based Residential and Commercial designer Nina Magon. Within this collaboration, Nina’s designs embody an ethereal and whimsical style, fusing elements of nature and fantasy to create a unique juxtaposition between the tangible and the imaginary. The natural world plays a crucial role in this artistic expression. Nina’s creations are a transcendence of beauty, warmth and elegance that will transport you into the world of Nina Magon x Sahrai Milano. Moreover, Sahrai Milano pursues its collaboration with Elie Saab Maison by presenting the latest rugs Beirut, Paris and New York, and its outdoor novelty Ehden.
YOUNG & TONIC
Sahrai Milano presents Young & Tonic – in Via Manzoni 45, a rug collection entirely conceived and developed by the sixth generation of Sahrai to meet the needs of the most important international developers and interior designers, who are looking for maximum flexibility, quality and speed of execution for residential, hospitality and bespoke projects. 6th gen exudes freshness as it is designed to transport lovers of innovation into a new dimension of the Brand. This idea of freshness is further encapsulated by the names of the 6th gen rugs, inspired by trendy cocktails such as Spritz, Paloma, Bellini and many more…
Just like these drinks, 6th gen rugs are designed to suit different scenarios, atmospheres and tastes, while maintaining a unique personality and appearance. The rugs will be surrounded by natural elements that recall their sustainable qualities such as tencel and biodegradable polyester, blending spontaneously into the space. Given the enthusiasm with which the new generation’s idea was welcomed, and integrated into Sahrai‘s various collections, 6th gen reflects the real union within the family business and its ongoing desire to provide a diversified choice while continuing to deliver the finest quality rugs.
