A Cinematic Steakhouse at The Heart of Manhattan’s One Madison-French Elegance Meets New York Cinematic Drama
At the heart of Manhattan’s One Madison, La Tête d’Or (Chef Daniel Boulud’s first steakhouse) first emerges as a masterstroke of hospitality design, where the acclaimed Rockwell Group redefines the modern steakhouse through a lens of cinematic elegance and Art Deco grandeur. Collaborating with lighting visionaries L’Observatoire International, the interiors offer a layered narrative of opulence—amber-lit vestibules, velvet-clad lounges, and monumental dining halls framed by bespoke installations and curated materials.

The design unfolds as a journey: guests pass through a glowing double-height façade into an amber-lit vestibule of Italian stone and crimson walls. Inside, a curved red-paneled lobby, lacquered host stand, and coved lighting set the tone for what’s to come—a layered narrative of luxury and craft.

The bar and lounge pulse with glamour, featuring bronze-quartzite counters, marble floors, blue leather stools, and red velvet armchairs. This rich material palette continues into the grand dining room, where soaring ceilings, wood and silk wall panels, and tailored banquettes frame an open kitchen. Its focal point is a sculptural metal art hood—crafted by Belgian artist Jesse Willems and De Castelli—echoing the geometry of New York’s Art Deco landmarks.

Intimate spaces like the North Dining and Wagyu Room offer bespoke moments, including a king’s table and tableside gueridon service. A pre-function salon adorned with floral murals and ribbed glass pendants adds yet another layer of elegance. The experience extends skyward with Le Jardin sur Madison, a rooftop terrace and event space on the 28th floor, also under Boulud’s culinary direction.

La Tête d’Or is a rich visual and sensory journey, where every surface speaks to ceremony and precision. With its masterful blend of architecture, ambiance, and gastronomy, it sets a new benchmark for immersive dining in New York.
