Ramun presents the third creation of the 7stars project: the Louise table lamp by Jean Marie Massaud, joining the series alongside Alessandro Mendini’s Campanello and Marcel Wanders‘ Bella. Originally conceived by Alessandro Mendini and passionately pursued by the company, the 7stars project will ultimately consist of seven table lamps, each inspired by the reinterpretation of the iconic Campanello lamp, the forerunner of the series. Inspired by the constellation Big Dipper, 7stars aims to explore the potential of decorative lamps as companions in life, illuminating both special moments and everyday life.

Louise is a compact, elegant, and versatile rechargeable battery-powered table lamp. Its main feature is the light source, which can be static or dynamic, simulating the wavering flame of a candle to create intimate and cozy atmospheres. Louise’s lantern-shaped design is distinguished by a tubular shade made from “Stainedpla”, a refined pleated material that gently envelops the light source, topped with a slim ring for easy handling. The lamp’s circular base includes a micro-USB port for recharging and a power button to adjust both the mode and brightness of the light. Attention to detail is highlighted by the engraving of Jean Marie Massaud’s French words: “La vie est une aventure faite de rencontres comme autant de lumiéres” (“Life is an adventure made of encounters, each like a light”).

As with all products in the Ramun catalog, Louise’s light source is optimized to protect eye health, offering 20 levels of illumination. Certified RoHS and created under the guidance of renowned ophthalmologists, it ensures maximum photobiological safety, with no ultraviolet or infrared radiation, and is flicker-free. The inherent versatility of Louise is enhanced by the addition of music that amplifies its charm: besides functioning as a lamp, Louise can play ten different classical melodies by Bizet, Bach, Chopin, and Schubert, as well as the well-known “Happy Birthday” and “Silent Night”. For this reason, Louise’s lamp is also useful for meditation, yoga, and pilates.

In many cultures, gifting a lamp symbolizes illuminating the recipient’s path and bringing good fortune, as light is often seen as a divine symbol. Louise is therefore considered an ideal gift, bringing luck and good wishes to the person who receives it.
