Micelio: A Perfect Balance Between Solidity and Lightness

The partnership between NEUTRA and Swiss design studio atelier oï transforms nature’s poetry into design. Merging NEUTRA’s marble expertise with atelier oï’s material-driven approach, the collaboration brings Micelio—a collection inspired by the organic networks of fungi.

Following its April 2024 debut, Micelio evolves with new forms, including upholstered seating and small armchairs that enhance functionality while maintaining its sculptural essence.

“The collection balances solidity and lightness, with marble symbolizing strength and soft forms evoking nature’s fluidity,” says Armand Louis, Co-founder of atelier oï.

Designed for adaptability, Micelio offers modular compositions that seamlessly integrate into diverse spaces. Its elements can be arranged, reconfigured, and customized in various materials, marbles, and stones. The rotating armchairs, whether standalone or in tête-à-tête settings, encourage dynamic interaction.

At the heart of Micelio is marble, elevated through advanced machining and meticulous hand-finishing, highlighting its natural veining. Upholstered components introduce a tactile contrast, softening the collection’s bold geometry and creating a warm, versatile aesthetic.

Micelio will be presented at Milan Design Week 2025, set within the historic Palazzo Visconti, alongside NEUT RA’s latest collections.
