Defined visual lightness and a clear graphic language

At Milano Design Week 2026, SCIC Italia will presents Zum Zeri, a kitchen concept by Anna Cattaneo and Enrico Cattaneo that channels the brand’s technical mastery into a refined and architectural language. Conceived as more than a functional environment, the design reads as a disciplined exercise in form, where lines, volumes, and material contrasts converge into a precise and highly recognizable language.

Presented by Magran Living

At the center of the composition, a commanding island emerges as the defining element. Treated as a compact, sculptural volume, it is outlined by a recessed luminous channel running along its entire perimeter, lending both visual lightness and graphic clarity. The geometry is subtly softened by rounded corners, introducing a more domestic sensibility that tempers the island’s rigor while preserving its formal balance.

The project is further articulated through a rich dialogue of materials. A natural quartzite countertop is paired with a luminous mother-of-pearl lacquer finish, while leather inserts on the cabinet doors add an unexpected tactile dimension. The result is a kitchen that engages both visually and physically—where craftsmanship and materiality elevate the everyday into a considered design experience.
