Childhood rarely stays in one place. There is always somewhere to go, something to discover, and a little more room to move. Winter is no exception. For Petit Bateau, this sense of movement becomes the heart of its Autumn-Winter 2026 collection.

That sense of movement also informs how Artistic Director Lydie de Beaupré approaches the Maison’s familiar codes. Since joining Petit Bateau, she has been giving them a fresh perspective, drawing inspiration from the brand’s heritage and the little moments of children’s everyday lives. The result is a collection that feels authentic and full of character, while keeping comfort and freedom of movement at its core.

Everyday essentials get a cheerful update through soft, luminous colours and playful details. Sweatshirts come with raised pink and yellow hearts, while pastel stripes give the classic Breton top a contemporary feel. New sweatshirt colourways featuring the Petit Bateau badge add another joyful touch. For cooler days, cosy beige sherpa jackets offer an easy layer, finished with contrasting details and signature badges. Nautical influences also return in a relaxed preppy and varsity mood.

As temperatures drop, familiar Petit Bateau signatures take on a winter update. Hearts, delicate jacquards, and cocotte stitching appear alongside mauve, green, and blue across Breton tops, sweatshirts, and cardigans. Raised heart motifs keep the mood light, while a blue velvet set brings a softer, more refined touch.

Winter-ready pieces follow the same idea of keeping little ones warm without slowing them down. Puffer jackets and water-repellent coats, including heart-decorated styles, combine protection, comfort, and freedom to move.
