Designed to Offer a Delicate Taste of  Living Space

The first international appointment in Minotti ’s calendar for 2024 is the opening in Cologne of the new Concept Store by Pesch – must-visit destination in the city and brand’s long-standing German partner celebrating its 120th anniversary this year – following an important extension and renovation carried out by Minotti Studio, the company’s creative soul. The result is a showroom space spanning two floors and a total surface area of 450 sqm., redesigned to highlight all the versatility of the collection and offer an authentic interpretation of contemporary living by Minotti .

The elegant Twiggy family of seats by Rodolfo Dordoni, with its unique sartorial stitching detail, steals the show in the large main window looking onto Kaiser-Wilhelm-Ring, enhanced by a dynamic and extremely contemporary composition. An invitation to discover the world of Minotti which, on the ground floor, unwinds in a succession of dining and living spaces featuring many of the brand’s bestsellers – the Wedge dining table by Nendo, the Connery seating system by Rodolfo Dordoni and the Horizonte seating system by Marcio Kogan / studio mk27 – all with the same wealth of refined detailing and unexpected mix of materials that flawlessly express the design expertise of  Minotti.

Access to the display space on the first floor, now doubled in size, is through a clay-coloured lacquered double doorway and large full-height windows, revealing an architectural context of distinctive elegance: mirrored walls alternate with dark slatted wooden panelling and white plaster surfaces, in perfect aesthetic continuity with the existing showroom space. The mood, punctuated with a selection of iconic pieces and recent proposals from the 2023 Collection, relates a precise idea of home, organised into relaxation and conversation, dining, night and outdoor areas.

Near the entrance, the first news of 2024 makes its debut: the new curved elements of the Goodman seating system by Rodolfo Dordoni. Its volumes are now even more harmonious and enveloping for a truly welcoming interpretation of the space they inhabit, here arranged in perfect dialogue with the soft silhouette of the Sendai family of seats by Inoda+Sveje.

The adjoining area, on the other hand, offers a dining space with the Linha table and Raphael dining little armchairs, designed respectively by Marcio Kogan / studio mk27 and GamFratesi, alongside the Dylan modular seating system, with its rigorous appeal and many couture-inspired details.

The pathway continues –  beyond the large steel-clad fireplace –  with the exquisite Marvin table and an articulated composition of the Hamilton seating system, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, as well as the Twiggy Bed, all by Rodolfo Dordoni. Finally, the last display area which offers an extraordinary view of the park through a floor-to-ceiling, hosts an original outdoor proposal with the Quadrado seating system by Marcio Kogan / studio mk27 and the Torii Nest Outdoor seats by Nendo.

A sophisticated interior design concept, conceived to spotlight the quality of the furniture and the international identity of the brand, in pure harmony with the local taste and lifestyle, that further consolidates Minottis presence in Germany, which has always been a key market for the brand.
