September 13, 2024 – A Special Party to Support The Local Musicians and Artists Community

Museum MACAN is thrilled to announce the return of Malam di MACAN–an annual party to support the local musicians and artists community. This year’s Malam di MACAN will be set on Friday, 13 September 2024 with, Gerak Groove! as the theme to embody the vibrant spirit of groove, diversity, and inclusivity. Visitors will be invited to explore various activities within the museum area, such as Patricia Piccinini: CARE exhibition, exciting public programs, and selection of food and beverages, while listening to live music performances.

This year’s Malam di MACAN lineup will feature incredibles artists: Ali, the first Indonesian artist who performed in Fuji Rock festival and just got back from their Echoes Tour in Europe and UK. Diskoria (Live Set) will debut a new format featuring live electronic interpretations of classic Indonesian hits, influenced by electronic pioneers Kraftwerk and Yellow Magic Orchestra, and performed using mostly analog instruments from that era. Bergas (Pleasure, SCRBS!), Hanin (Aksara Records), and Harum Manis will also join the stage to perform their latest hits, inviting the visitors to sing and dance along together.

Since 2018, Museum MACAN has dedicated Malam di MACAN to enhance cultural engagement within the youth communities while honoring the supporters and devoted members. The museum also aims to attract a broader demographic and increase cultural inclusivity by presenting a range of different activities.
