The Excellence Petite Seconde is a well-known model in the Excellence collection, redesigned in 2020. It now comes in two case sizes: 39mm and the original 42mm. This watch has become a contemporary classic, known for its elegance, reliability, and timeless style. It is more than just a tool watch, it is a companion watch that can be discreet or iconoclastic, depending on the occasion. It has been released in various variations, colors, and materials, showcasing its versatility.

This year, the Excellence Petite Seconde returns with two new variations that focus on haute horlogerie finishing. The Excellence Petite Seconde Guilloché 42mm comes in anthracite black, while the Excellence 39 Petite Seconde Guilloché comes in anthracite blue. These watches are inspired by an ancient technique called guillochage, which was popular in the 18th century. The technique involves intricate mechanical decoration, blending skill and creativity.

The Excellence Petite Seconde Guilloché watches feature a four-part dial with a radiant draped pattern in the center. This pattern deepens into evolving waves, creating a visually stunning effect. The hour circle is covered with a panier motif, giving it a classic and sophisticated look. The small seconds subdial at 6 o’clock displays the same guilloché patterns in darker tones.

Every detail of the watch is meticulously crafted, including the signature fir tree hands, monogrammed crown, and Sellita caliber movement. Despite its luxury appeal, the Excellence Petite Seconde remains affordable, making it a accessible option in its category.
