A New Creative Venture for Milan Design Week 2026
For Milan Design Week 2026, Longchamp deepens its engagement with contemporary design through a new collaboration with French designer Patrick Jouin. Unveiled at the brand’s flagship on Via della Spiga, the project extends Longchamp’s ongoing dialogue between contemporaty creation, craftsmanship, leather, art, and everyday function.

Originally conceived to enrich the Milan boutique’s interiors, the collaboration evolved into a full-scale installation and collectible design series. Jouin’s existing pieces—including the DROP side and coffee tables and the OLO armchair—are reinterpreted through Longchamp’s material language, combining spun steel, hand-poured enamel, and leather finished with the house’s signature Light Green and Heritage Green accents. The result is a refined interplay of structure and tactility, underscoring both precision craftsmanship and functional clarity.

At the core of the collaboration is a new, jointly developed piece: the OSTARA lamp. Designed as a portable, modular object, it features a cone shaped shade in micro-perforated full-grain leather set on a French oak base. Subtly referencing the codes of Longchamp’s iconic Le Pliage—notably its snap-fastener system—the lamp integrates LED technology and recyclable materials, balancing innovation with artisanal detail. Produced in a limited edition of ten numbered pieces, it reflects a shared commitment to longevity and sustainable design.

On view from April 2026 and later available in selected boutiques, Longchamp x Patrick Jouin articulates a coherent vision: design as a living dialogue between material integrity, technical innovation, and the rituals of daily life.
