Sculpting Light in Marble
There is something quietly powerful about a wall that holds both light and shadow. In contemporary interiors, surfaces are no longer passive backdrops—they shape atmosphere, emotion, and rhythm within a space. It is within this subtle dialogue between material and architecture that Polis in Calcite Blu finds its voice.

At Milano Design Week 2026, Lithos Design presents a new interpretation of Polis in Calcite Blu—an exceptionally refined Brazilian marble defined by its cloudy structure and crystalline nuances. Enriched with quartz in layered shades of sky blue, Calcite Blu brings depth and luminosity to vertical surfaces—at once serene and expressive.
Designed by Raffaello Galiotto, Polis is conceived as an ornamental system that can be “endlessly composed and decomposed to design the wall.” Its geometry creates a measured chiaroscuro effect, where relief and shadow continuously interact, transforming marble into a dynamic architectural element rather than a static covering.

Presented by Magran Living
Structured in 60 × 60 × 2 cm modules, the covering reflects Lithos Design’s mastery in merging advanced industrial processes with deep material sensitivity, enhancing marble’s intrinsic chromatic nuances. Each carved detail reveals what the company describes as “the sometimes hidden yet peculiar natural features of marble.”
The result is a composition that feels both precise and organic—particularly suited to hospitality environments and refined residential interiors where atmosphere matters as much as structure. Guided by sustainable production processes with near-zero material waste, Lithos Design continues to affirm marble as a living material, shaped by technology yet grounded in nature.

On view at Palazzo Parigi from April 22 to 25, Polis in Calcite Blu transforms the wall into an experience of light, texture, and quiet sophistication.
