LASVIT PRESENTS “DESERT IN BLOOM” AT DOWNTOWN DESIGN DUBAI 2025

Lasvit arrives at Downtown Design Dubai 2025 with Desert in Bloom — a poetic study of survival, light, and the beauty that emerges against all odds. The installation imagines the rare miracle of desert flowers awakening after long silence. Here, crystal becomes alive: delicate blossoms climb slender golden stems, stretching toward an unseen sun. Lasvit turns glass into emotion — a quiet gasp of life in a place built on extremes.

At its core is Rosa, a new concept by designer Martin Gallo, born from experimental glassmaking that rejects the expected. Rosa’s fluid forms can scale from a single, jewel-like pendant to a full spatial choreography of glowing blooms. Its silhouette feels instinctive — growth made visible, hope made structural.

Beside it, Grain of Sand by Jana Ruzickova reframes the desert as reflection. The sculptural mirror ripples like wind-touched dunes, catching light in shifting rhythms and reminding us that glass, like sand, is elemental — shaped by time, pressure, and transformation.

Together, these pieces form a meditative oasis within the fair. The lighting for the exhibition setup was developed together with John Cullen Studio.
